How does the Enlighten® teeth whitening work?

Enlighten® whitening is a combination treatment split into an at-home treatment and an in-practice treatment session. It’s also the only whitening process to guarantee a B1 shade, which is the whitest teeth are able to go using professional whitening gels.

The first step is to obtain impressions of your teeth, which give us a model we can send off to the Enlighten® laboratory. They will create a transparent custom whitening tray that will fit perfectly over your teeth. You’re then all ready to apply the whitening gel at home yourself and start on your journey to a brighter smile.

Why is it favourable to ask a dentist to whiten my teeth?

There are several reasons why this is the case:

Custom trays are used: so there is no risk of the whitening gel coming into significant close contact with your gums.
The whitening gel is safe: medical professionals only use gel that contains safe levels of peroxide.
Closely supervised: your treatment will be overseen by an experienced dental professional.

Dr Patel has been looking after myself and my children’s dental issues for many years now. He is very patient with my children especially as one has SEN and complex dental needs. He explains his procedures to the children carefully and with sensitivity to their needs. The staff there are friendly and the practice Manager kept me informed of any information from specialists we had been referred to. Practise is clean and tidy. Parking in close by and free!
